Fentro is developing youth employability support for young people aged 16 to 24, beginning in Rhondda Cynon Taf. We start with what already holds their attention, then connect it to employability skills, confidence and real opportunities in education, work and enterprise.

What is Fentro CIC?
Fentro is a community interest company in Rhondda Cynon Taf. We help young people aged 16 to 24 explore careers through the things they already enjoy, gain practical skills and find a next step into learning, work or enterprise.
Where will Fentro work?
The first pilot is planned for Rhondda Cynon Taf, including communities across the Rhondda, Cynon and Taff valleys. Longer term, the ambition is to work with partners across South East Wales and the wider Welsh Valleys.
Who is Fentro for?
We are starting with young people aged 16 to 24 who are out of education, employment or training, or who feel that school, college or the usual careers route is not working for them.
Is the programme running now?
The first pilot begins in October 2026 in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Young people, families and professionals can register interest or make an early referral now. We will confirm places and arrangements before the programme begins.
